The National Lottery Community Fund
called “Girls Inclusive”

Celebrating Success: Girls Inclusive Project Funded by The National Community Lottery!

We are thrilled to share some exciting news with our SEN Unity community! Our Girls Inclusive project, aimed at empowering young girls through inclusive sports, has received funding from the Community Lottery. This support is a significant milestone for us, marking a new chapter in our journey to break barriers and foster a love for physical activity among girls.

Our dedicated all-female coaching team is leading the charge, creating a supportive and inclusive environment at lunch and after-school clubs across various venues. Thanks to the generous support from the Community Lottery, we can now expand our reach and impact more lives.

The Girls Inclusive initiative, with its comprehensive project structure, including lunch clubs, after-school sessions, and weekend activities, is designed to address the unique needs of young girls. This funding allows us to provide free sessions at eight diverse locations, ensuring accessibility and eliminating the need for external sports facilities and transport.

Neurodiversity Champions at Roehampton

The engaging and confidence-building sessions for children and young people aged 3 to 11 years old, known as Nuerodiversity Champions at Roehampton, are made possible through the generous support of Roehampton Community Week. These sessions will be delivered every Friday, starting from the 28th of July and running for six weeks, from 12pm to 3pm. The groups will be arranged by age, with the 3 to 5 years old group from 12pm to 1pm, the 6 to 8 years old group from 1pm to 2pm, and the 9+ years old group from 2pm to 3pm. Participants will have the opportunity to explore a variety of circus skills, try various adapted sports, and develop their skills and techniques with the help of both one-to-one and group support.
Circus skills serve as a remarkably powerful tool that allows participants to actively engage in each stage of their learning journey.
By experiencing it an understanding of how we learn, experiencing the emotions, challenges, triggers and motivators can have far-reaching effects on wider learning.
